Pardon, Mr. Steele, But Life Is Not Killing Me!

I've been in such a weird mood, musically. But I like it. For instance, I spent the majority of yesterday morning listening to nothing but the Cure, especially the "Wish" record, and a little bit of "The Top". And suddenly, I became infatuated with the White Stripes catalogue and listened to "White Blood Cells" and "Get Behind Me Satan" a couple of times. After jumping around my room in white pants and a red t-shirt, throwing myself into walls and falling down all over the place and listening to 'The Denial Twist', I got in my car to venture over to Sam's house and listened to nothing but Norwegian Black Metal all the way there: Dissection's ''Storm of the Light's Bane'', Darkthrone's box-set "Preparing for War", and Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas". True Norwegian Black Metal. Yummy. And this morning I woke up to Deicide's "One Upon the Cross", and since then it has been all about David Bowie. 'China Girl', 'Let's Dance', 'Heroes', 'Life On Mars?', 'Time', 'Lady Grinning Soul' - all masterpieces. How does one man get to be so talented? I would place David Bowie within the panthenon of the most talented humans to ever grace this planet, including Peter Steele, Robert Smith, Frank Sinatra, Frederic Chopin, Jim Morrison, Amanda Palmer, Amy Lee, George W. BWAAHAWHAHWAHW. Snip. Done.

But this is all trivial, friends and neighbors. Musical mood swings are fun and I like them alot, but let me tell you about something that has completley posessed my soul with utter ecstatic joy.

I am hopelessly, passionately and completley in love with a beautiful angel. She's mine and I am hers, and I couldn't be happier. We lie there and hold each other and listen to Jack Johnson and The Cure and Buckethead and watch the Powerpuff Girls and play Mortal Kombat and look into each others eyes and live life for that moment. We break into abandoned asylums, we go up north, we go to concerts, we make music, we cuddle, we have misunderstandings, we argue, we kiss, we make up. I love her with all of my heart and all of my soul, in a way that I have never loved before. She is an angel, a part of my soul, and she is my everything.
